Liriodendron Mansion, Bel Air MD

Edited for Screen- Liriodendron w logo 2 (1 of 1)

The Liriodendron Mansion was the historic home and estate of Dr. Howard Kelly, his wife and nine children built in the 1890’s. Currently it is used for weddings, conferences, events and as an arts facility. Liriodendron (leer-ee-o-dendron) is the botanical name for the tulip poplar, many of which can be found around the grounds of this historic property. I photographed this image in the winter of 2017, it was one of the first snows of the season and I love how the dusting of snow sits in the branches of the trees and the crevices of the house. I used my Canon 80D, 1/30, F22, 35mm, ISO 100. Prints are available upon request.
